By accessing and using the services of CIRO Distribution (“CIRO”, “we”, or “our”), you agree to comply with
and be bound by these Terms of Use.
CIRO is a global digital music distribution platform headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, with additional
operational ties in Bologna, Italy.
Each user account is initially assigned to one artist. Additional artists may be added for a one-time fee of
€17 per artist.
Upon subscription renewal, all added artists under the same account will be renewed simultaneously at the
same plan price per artist.
Custom Label Option:
Once an account has added five artists or more, the user unlocks the
ability to register and display their
own custom label name under releases.
A. 80% Artist Revenue Plans
• 3-Month Plan: €15
• 12-Month Plan: €39
Artists receive 80% of net royalties, and CIRO retains 20%.
B. 100% Artist Revenue Plans
• 3-Month Plan: €25
• 12-Month Plan: €59
Artists retain 100% of royalties; CIRO charges a higher plan rate.
C. Manager Plan
• Annual Subscription: €99
• Allows music managers to add unlimited artists.
• A one-time fee of €17 is required for each artist added. This fee is not renewed annually.
• Each artist receives a dedicated distribution panel with custom branding (manager’s own name/logo).
• CIRO’s branding is hidden from these artist-facing panels.
• Managers only need to renew the main €99 subscription annually.
Artists maintain full ownership of their content. CIRO receives a non-exclusive license to distribute music to DSPs (Digital Service Providers) and collect royalties. Royalty payments are issued quarterly after reconciliation with DSPs.
• CIRO provides optional promotional campaigns designed to help artists increase visibility and algorithmic traction across multiple platforms.
• Promotional services may include playlist placements, TikTok influencer campaigns, and other targeted campaigns.
• Availability, pricing, and scope vary per campaign and will be detailed at the time of purchase.
• CIRO ensures that all promotions are handled safely, transparently, and without artificial or fraudulent streaming activity.
• Campaigns are designed to improve exposure potential but do not guarantee playlist inclusion or long-term follower growth.
All subscriptions are non-refundable and automatically renew according to their selected term (3 or 12 months). Artists may upgrade or downgrade their plan at the end of the current subscription cycle.
Artists may only request royalty withdrawals once their unpaid earnings reach a minimum balance of €10 or more. Royalties below this amount are held until the threshold is met.
Additionally, in order to initiate a withdrawal request:
• The artist’s account must have an active subscription at the time of request.
• If the subscription has expired, earnings will be preserved but cannot be withdrawn until the subscription
is reactivated.
• Once a valid subscription is restored and the balance is still over €10, withdrawal requests may proceed.
Artists are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes in their country. CIRO may withhold taxes as required by international regulations.
CIRO is not responsible for content removals performed by DSPs (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube). Artists waive any claims against CIRO related to such actions.
By uploading content to CIRO, artists grant CIRO a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
• Distribute and monetize their content through DSPs,
• Use metadata and artwork for marketing and publishing purposes,
• Create and manage YouTube Content ID, and
• Perform any technical formatting needed for delivery.
Artists warrant that all uploaded content is original or properly licensed, and does not infringe on any third-party rights. Artists agree to compensate CIRO for any damages or legal claims arising from their content.
Uploading stolen, plagiarized, AI-generated, or misrepresented content is strictly forbidden.
Fraudulent streaming, metadata manipulation, and spam practices will result in account termination and
potential withholding of royalties.
Artists are solely responsible for all content uploaded to CIRO, including lyrics, audio, metadata, visuals,
and other associated materials.
CIRO does not pre-screen or review uploaded content and has no obligation to monitor content actively.
However, CIRO reserves the right to remove any content that:
• Is reported as violating local or international laws, or
• Includes political, offensive, or culturally sensitive material that could pose legal risk within the
jurisdictions in which CIRO operates.
Although CIRO is based in Italy, due to its focus on Persian-speaking audiences, content must comply with the
legal and cultural frameworks of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Artists acknowledge and accept full legal responsibility for any consequences resulting from their uploaded
content. CIRO may remove such content upon receiving valid reports, without prior notice.
CIRO uses third-party providers to issue ISRC and UPC codes. Artists acknowledge that while codes are valid and functional for commercial release, the registrant entity may not be CIRO itself. This does not affect royalty rights or ownership of the music. CIRO shall not be held liable for any technical or administrative limitations resulting from the use of such codes.
CIRO is not responsible for technical errors, takedowns, or delays caused by third-party platforms. By using the platform, artists waive any claim of liability against CIRO.
CIRO reserves the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms of Use at its sole discretion.
Any such changes will become effective immediately upon being posted on our website or platform.
By continuing to use our services after such changes are published, users automatically agree to the revised
terms.
It is the user’s responsibility to regularly check this page for updates or changes to the terms.
